Prototyping Futures

I am happy to announce the start of a new research project, funded by The German Ministry for Research and Education: „PROTOTYP“

The interdisciplinary project investigates the social function of prototypes. How do prototypes convey imaginaries of the future? How do they open and close innovation pathways? How might prototyping contribute to public engagement with science and technology?

The project is led by me at Johannes Gutenberg University. Together with colleages from TU Munich, University of Applied Science Potsdam, and Deutsches Museum we will explore the technological designs of tomorrow.
